Bilbomatica and ASTIC Foundation (FUNDASTIC) (Professional Association of the High Body of Systems and Information Technologies of the Spanish Public Administration) have signed a collaboration agreement based on their interests and social targets, with the aim of promoting and making the most of their resources to develop activities in the field of Information and Communications Technologies. The initiatives will pursue the promotion of e-Government, with the aim of complying with the requirements of the Law for the electronic access of citizens to Public Services, and so, citizens, companies and the public sector may benefit of the advantages and possibilities the Information Society has.
Bilbomática, Company with 100% of Spanish capital, has been focused for more than 20 years on the generation of solutions in the Information and Communications Technologies, is supported by more than 350 professionals and will close this year with a turnover of almost 20 million €. Bilbomática Works tirelessly for the European and Spanish Public Administration, thanks to its solid experience in e-Government and to its resources, as Bilbomática’s tools are of great usefulness in the public sector. An example would be eSentia, platform of e-Government solutions which allows deploying e-Government strategies in a more efficient, quick and scalable way. Bilbomática is empowered with the maximum administrative classification in order to be a public contractor; it is included in the Centralized Purchase Catalogue of the National Heritage General Directorate, and counts with several certifications: ISO 9001, CMMI v2, ITIL, amongst others. FUNDASTIC was approved in the ASTIC’s assembly of last 18th June, and on the 30th September the public register of its constitution was signed. Its main aim is to promote the compliance of ASTIC’s mission, highlighting the development, promotion and use of the Information Technologies in the Public Administration’s environment mainly, and generally concerning the Information Society. The foundation will have, as ultimate objective, the contribution to the success of a model of sustainable development based on the increase of competitiveness and productivity, the promotion of social and regional equality, and the improvement of the welfare and life quality of citizens and companies. All of it, aligned with the objectives of Lisbon Agenda, which pursue the convergence with the most advanced European countries of our environment concerning the Information Society.
