Presentation of the Bizkaibus transport application (Basque Bus Public Network)

The transport application of Bizkaibus (Basque Bus Public Network), developed by Bilbomática’s GIS Team, for which Alberto Iglesias is responsible, was introduced yesterday.

Bizkaibus offers on the one hand a GIS component through which it is possible to graphically view the different bus routes and stops, together with real time consultations of the GPS location of the different vehicles on line and of the remaining time for a vehicle to reach a particular bus stop.

On the other hand the system offers a number of alphanumeric queries allowing the user to enter the information concerning routes, timetables, fares, and incidences of the different bus routes.
