On October 4th and 5th, we'll see you at the Esri Conference 2023, Europe's largest geospatial technology event, which will take place at Ifema, Madrid, and where the latest advances in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology will be presented.
We'll be there at booth 11 to talk about the possibilities of GIS and some of our success stories.
In addition, we will be participating in the following presentations on October 5th:
Smartcities (09:00-13:30 · N107)
- Virtual Reality Interfaces for GIS Applications (09:00-09:20): Our colleagues Pako Navas and Yolanda Sampayo will explore the integration of Virtual Reality (VR) into Geographic Information Systems (GIS), presenting the benefits of this union, such as immersion in geospatial environments and the improvement of the understanding of complex data.
During the presentation, we will discuss methods of interacting with geospatial data in virtual environments and share case studies in urban planning, natural resource management, archaeology, and cartography; we will address the challenges and future prospects for the implementation of this technology; and we will show how Virtual Reality enhances the visualization, analysis, and decision-making based on geospatial data.
- Moving towards Smart Territorial Management: Innovations and Applications of the Corporate Geoviewer in Bizkaia (09:20-09:40): Accompanied by Iker Begolain, organization technician in digital strategy, Pako Navas will talk about the success story of the application of GIS in Lantik.
