At BILBOMÁTICA, we have participated in the development of digital solutions for managing candidacies and excuses for absence from polling station appointments, enabling a secure and efficient flow of information between political parties, electoral boards, and the Basque Government's comprehensive electoral process system.
Facilitating the Processing of Candidacies and Excuses
The project includes electronic processing services for users of the Electoral Boards who do not have direct access to PLATEA. This ensures that the management of candidacies and the receipt of excuses for not attending polling stations can be carried out electronically, securely, and with auditing capabilities.
User-Centric Applications
We have developed two specific web applications that allow user identification through a proprietary system, communication with political parties via email, and integration with PLATEA through web services. Furthermore, we implemented bulk electronic signatures, ensuring the legal validity of applications and their proper integration into HAUTESBIL, the Basque Government's comprehensive electoral process management system.
Results: Efficiency and Security in Electoral Processes
Thanks to these applications, a comprehensive system for registering candidacies has been achieved, from political parties to validation by the Electoral Boards, as well as the online processing of excuses for polling station members. The solution offers a more agile, transparent, and reliable process, strengthening digital electoral management in the Basque Country.
