We have been selected by the Basque Government's Department of Security to implement the interconnection between the gender violence management systems of the Ministry of the Interior ( Viogen ) and the Basque Country's own system (EBA).
The main objective of this project is to enable collaboration between the Ertzaintza (Basque Police) and the local police forces of the Basque Country , along with the Ministry of the Interior, regarding information on individuals involved in gender-based violence cases. The data transfer will include complaints, victims, court rulings, and other crucial details, ensuring a comprehensive and enriched understanding for both parties. This approach strengthens responses to this problem, guaranteeing protection and assistance for victims, as well as the prosecution and apprehension of perpetrators.
This interconnected environment will allow information to flow in both directions , even granting access to international data held by the Ministry. This represents a significant leap forward in the improvement of EBA , the Basque Country's domestic and gender-based violence case management system, proving to be an essential service for the Ertzaintza (Basque Police) and local police forces in the Basque Country. EBA was developed and implemented in 2020 by BILBOMÁTICA, an ALTIA company.
