In partnership with Nunegal and Alda2u, we have developed the Community Area for Social and Healthcare Services in the Basque Country, a project promoted by EJIE aimed at strengthening coordination, collaboration and efficient information management in the social and healthcare field.
The solution is framed within a key context for social welfare and public health in the Basque Country, providing a safe and accessible platform that facilitates joint work between the different agents involved in community care.
A collaborative platform for social and healthcare
The Community Area supports essential functions related to patient monitoring, coordination between professionals, and the management of community resources, offering tools for the administration of communities, teams, documents and processes linked to the socio-health field.
The solution is completed with a publicly accessible website dedicated to promoting and disseminating information about social and healthcare services in the Basque Country. This website provides visibility to initiatives, publishes thematic documentation, publicizes events, and serves as an access point to the Community Area for authorized users.
Technological robustness, security and regulatory compliance
The application design is based on the UDA v6.0.0 framework, incorporating technological tools that ensure robustness, scalability, and alignment with industry best practices. The solution complies with EJIE standards and is supported by the ARINbide and PROBAMET methodologies, guaranteeing a solid architecture ready for future evolution.
In terms of security, the platform integrates the Giltza system for secure authentication, ensuring that only authorized and properly profiled users can access the various functionalities. All data processing is carried out in accordance with the Spanish Data Protection Act (LOPD), guaranteeing the confidentiality and protection of personal and community data.
A challenge focused on modularity, usability and future
The main challenge of the project has been to conceptualize and develop a modular application, capable of integrating different management modules in an intuitive and efficient way, and adapting to the present and future needs of the community area.
The solution had to allow customization by user profiles, offer bilingual support in Basque and Spanish, and guarantee a smooth user experience, all while maintaining a high level of security and regulatory compliance in matters of privacy.
A scalable, collaboration-oriented solution
The solution developed is a web application that streamlines the operations of the Community Area, incorporating features such as profile management, shared workspaces, document management, and application processing. Navigation is based on an intuitive folder structure, similar to widely used environments, facilitating user adoption.
The role and permissions system ensures controlled access to information and strengthens security. Furthermore, the modular architecture allows for scalability and adaptability of the system as the needs of the healthcare environment evolve.
Results focused on efficiency and collaboration
With the implementation of the Community Area, a significant improvement is expected in coordination, secure access to information, and the management of resources and work teams. The solution fosters a more collaborative, organized, and efficient environment, optimizing workflows and facilitating communication among the various stakeholders.
This project allows EJIE to move towards a more efficient and collaborative social and healthcare management, supporting its goal of offering high-quality services that contribute to social welfare and the strengthening of community care in the Basque Country.
