Supporting equality with Ispira STEAM

Bilbomática is actively taking part in the Inspira STEAM project, organized by the University of Deusto, to inspire new generations to study careers in technology.
From the start of our collaboration, in the 2019–2020 school year, we have supported the Inspira STEAM project, a group mentoring program to promote STEAM among elementary school students which also tackles the gender gap in these areas.
Through the Bilbomática mentors who are participating in the project, we have carried out awareness and orientation events to inspire the next generation of talent and to open their eyes to the possibilities in the technology sector.
During the 2023–2024 school year, four people at Bilbomática were a part of this project, reaching 4 schools and over 70 students.
We’re still working hard and doing our part to make this sector more equal and inclusive, and we will continue to collaborate with this initiative in the 2024–2025 school year.
Encouraging the technology gene
At the Altia Group, we have a strong commitment to education and to a more equal technology sector, focusing on encouraging STEM careers among young people. Through mentoring programs, educational talks, and collaborations with schools, we seek to inspire and support the next generation of professionals in the technology field.
With our actions, we not only promote technological innovation and growth, but we also believe that it is an essential pillar to achieving quality education that is equal for all, without the gender stereotypes that were traditionally associated with it.
We have our own initiatives, such as GenTech, where — just like with Inspira STEAM — we seek to inspire and activate the technology gene in tomorrow’s professionals.
Every bit helps, and with everybody’s help, we can improve the future!
